CEOs on AI
Nvidia's Former Largest Shareholder Sees Wisdom in the Machine

SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son envisions a future where AI evolves into "super wisdom," profoundly enhancing human happiness.

During SoftBank's recent quarterly results presentation, Son projected the advent of artificial general intelligence (AGI) within two to three years, with artificial super intelligence (ASI) emerging in about a decade. He anticipates that ASI will surpass human intelligence, performing tasks with superior speed, accuracy, and insight, fostering a universe of intellect, love, harmony, and kindness.

This optimistic outlook aligns with a broader trend among global CEOs who are increasingly bullish on AI's potential to transform industries and society.

For instance, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella has expressed optimism about AI's future, emphasizing the importance of developing global standards and regulations to ensure its safe and beneficial integration into society.

The optimism shared by these two CEOs reflects a broader sentiment among business leaders globally, a study by Arthur D. Little highlights:

Confidence in Growth: 66% of CEOs are optimistic about the global economy over the next 3–5 years, a leap from just 22% in 2022. This shift is largely driven by the integration of AI into business strategies.

AI as a Key Driver: 25% of CEOs ranked technological innovation, particularly AI, among their top two drivers for sustainable growth.

Challenges in Implementation: Despite the optimism, only 13% of leaders have implemented comprehensive, company-wide AI strategies, highlighting untapped potential for holistic adoption.

Moreover, the focus on AI is not just about technology but especially the human workforce. The report also shows that 45% of CEOs see workforce reskilling and upskilling as essential to maximizing AI's benefits. This aligns with the broader push to bridge the gap between AI advancements and human expertise, ensuring businesses not only adopt AI but also empower their teams to adapt to its transformative effects.

Such investments in talent and strategy underline the growing consensus that AI is a cornerstone of contemporary and future economic and societal progress.

Proxy, the AI Agent for Everyday Life

Imagine if you had a digital clone to do your tasks for you. Well, meet Proxy…

Last week, Convergence, the London based AI start-up revealed Proxy to the world, the first general AI Agent.

Users are asking things like “Book my trip to Paris and find a restaurant suitable for an interview” or “Order a grocery delivery for me with a custom weekly meal plan”.

You can train it how you choose, so all Proxy’s are different, and personalised to how you teach it. The more you teach it, the more it learns about your personal work flows and begins to automate them.

The Beatles break new ground with AI-assisted music, earning their first Grammy nominations in decades!

The Beatles’ Now and Then stands out not just as a musical milestone but as a technological one. Here’s what makes it significant:

  • First AI-Assisted Nomination: “Now and Then” is the first AI-assisted song nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance at the 2025 Grammys.

  • AI in Action: Using stem separation technology, AI isolated John Lennon’s vocals from a 60-year-old low-fidelity demo, removing noise and restoring audio quality for a polished final track.

  • Wider Adoption: This same AI technique is gaining traction, with companies like AudioShake collaborating with Disney Music Group to remaster older catalogs for licensing, re-releases, and fan engagement opportunities.

  • Controversy Resolved: Unlike deepfaking or generative AI, the Recording Academy has clarified that using AI to enhance existing human performances aligns with Grammy eligibility.

This achievement underscores AI's transformative role in music, bridging past and present while respecting artistic integrity. With AI redefining preservation and creativity, it offers immense potential for revitalizing legacy content and creating new opportunities across industries.

The music industry is at a crossroads where technology meets creativity. The future belongs to those who blend artistry with technology to stay ahead in an evolving musical era.
